Danny Kaul
A native of Tyndall, South Dakota, Danny earned his Bachelor's and Master's of Music Education Degrees from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota. During his time at NSU, he performed as Principal Bassist of the Northern State University Symphony and was a member of the NSU Marching Wolves, NSU Jazz Band, Wolfpack Pep Band, Brass Choir and Dominant 7. His double bass professor was Alex Fokkens.
Danny currently teaches in the Olathe School District in Olathe, Kansas. He has been the director of the Olathe Youth Symphony Philharmonic Orchestra since 2009. Over the years, many of his private bass studio students have been accepted into the Kansas High School All-State Orchestra, Kansas City Youth Symphony and the Olathe Youth Symphony.
In addition to his teaching, he has performed for numerous musical theater productions throughout the Midwest.
Theater venues include: Quality Hill Playhouse, The Folly Theater, Union Station's H&R Block City Stage, CenterStage, Kanas City's Musical Theater for Young People, The Olathe Community Theater, The Chestnut Fine Arts Center, and The Barn Players Community Theater.
